Scoring
Each Derby will be worth 500 points.

Each Derby awards a starting score of 45 points just for playing.

The point values for the individual questions will vary, depending on the nature of the question. How much a question is worth will be identified on the question answer screen.

Losing points for Hints:
Taking hints will cost the player points. Each hint is labeled with how many points it will subtract from the player's score.

Losing points for multiple attempts:
Each incorrect attempt to answer a question will cost a set number of points to the player's possible points for getting a question correct, until the minimum score for that question is reached. The deduction will vary depending on how many points a question is worth.

Each question will have a minimum score for a correct answer, regardless of how many hints and incorrect attempts are used. The minimum correct answer points will depend on the total point value for a question. Questions which allow only one attempt to answer will have a minimum point value of zero.

Each hint point taken will reduce your total score by 1.
